The 700-242 exam — formally the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Fundamentals - Stage 1 — is how Cisco certifies that you can apply its technologies in professional scenarios; passing earns you the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Fundamentals certification, positioned at the Fundamentals level. In an anxious, competitive job market, a vendor-issued credential is one of the few signals employers trust at a glance.
